How we calculate these estimates

CPM & CPC benchmarks

Rates are based on published industry averages from WordStream's 2023 Facebook Ad Benchmarks and Meta's own performance data. Each vertical has different demand levels — dentists compete with higher-budget practices, hence higher CPMs.

Metro size adjustment

Larger cities have more advertisers bidding for the same audience, pushing up CPMs. A small-town pet groomer running $15 CPM ads may see $19–21 CPM in a top-10 market. We apply a 0–40% multiplier based on city population tier.

Lead rate assumptions

We use a conservative 2–4% conversion rate from click to lead inquiry — consistent with Meta's local business benchmarks. High-intent verticals (dentists, roofers) use the upper end; awareness plays (restaurants) use the lower end.
